Calling all Moderators!

Hello NatureMaprs!

This is an appeal to any current moderators or those looking to become a moderator. NatureMapr is now recieving an increased number of sightings from the NSW North Coast region (exciting!). This also means we need more moderators in these regions to verify these sightings which will eventually be fed into the NSW Goverment's biodiversity repository, BioNet

If you met eligibility requirements to moderate or are interested in learning how to become a moderator in this region please apply using the 'become a moderator' button on your category collection(s) of expertise on the NSW North Coast page.

Many thanks,

The NatureMapr Team

As I have some modicum of more available time, especially for plants identification and a bit more for some categories of animals,
I offer to be added to the NSW North Coast moderators for :
• all plants species ,
• all butterflies (not moths) ,
• all dragonflies and damselflies ,
• all mammals ,
• and unlikely necessary for all birds as there are so many birdos both in NatureMapr and beyond NatureMapr including the community in general has more knowledge of birds;
yet i am happy to get added as well to the moderators for birds in NSW North Coast .

I have the humility to not identify taxa which do not have the evidence necessary to identify them and which i do not have the knowledge to identify.
I have the practical skills, competencies, thorough knowledge and experiences, both professional and personal, to identify, correct wrong identifications of and confirm identifications of the many taxa which i do have knowledge of;
the recognition of my work;
and the experience in NatureMapr .

I am motivated by the many BCT sightings remaining unidentified in this NSW North Coast region which i readily can identify and confirm – verify the identification of as i have prior experience with these taxa in wild ecosystems, some for many years and decades .

I have replied here, as i offer to moderate in these multiple categories above ,
rather than repeatedly filling out the form on each category page of the NSW North Coast collection .

From my side of this moderators' equation no urgency. I understand and support that NatureMapr and BCT have some urgency to have more identifications–moderation of the sightings in the NSW North Coast region – as per this announcement !

All the best,
please feel free to message me privately,
Jason Stewart.

Hi,
I am already listed as Moderator for Other Freshwater Plants, where I have noticed the uptick in number of sightings,
Sorry I can't do much more than OFW and some of Rushes Sedges and Matrushes.
Jane
