Second year of nesting observations: Estimated 13-14 weeks from hatching. First day after leaving nest. This nest was used three times over five years. Check years 2016-2018-2020
Three years obs indicate that the egg is laid about mid-August +- a week or so, fledging is about first week in of December. This nest has a very long history of use, the pair of adults have at least one other nest they use, hence the reason that this nest is not used each year, that other nest is virtually unobservable due to canopy cover and position among forest trees. A third nest has been found since, very small at this time, probably quite new. All nests are within sight of each other (500m) or at least the main adult roosting tree.
