Mount Worth State Park protects a remnant of the forests that once covered the western Strzelecki Ranges. Tall wet forests and tree fern gullies predominate. Regrowth of the area has occurred after logging in the 1920-40 period. Dense undergrowth is extensive. These particular fungi are almost boundless in number.
